FIFA Agent Exam Dates 2027: Registration Window & Timeline
Updated 2026-09-14
Short answer
The FIFA agent exam runs once a year. The 2026 session is over (held 28–30 April 2026, results published 4 June 2026); the next opportunity is the 2027 edition, with registration expected to open around January 2027.
The 2026 exam timeline
FIFA runs the football agent exam through a fixed annual calendar, from application to results. The 2026 cycle looked like this:
| Milestone | 2026 date |
|---|---|
| Applications open | 20 January 2026 |
| Applications close | 6 March 2026 |
| Pre-Exam Readiness Check deadline | 14 April 2026, 23:59 CET |
| Exam window | 28–30 April 2026 |
| Reserve sessions | 5–7 May 2026 |
| Results published | 4 June 2026, 14:00 CET |
One exam a year — plan accordingly
Since 2025, FIFA holds a single agent exam session per year. That's a change from 2024, which had two sessions (May and November) to work through the initial wave of applicants.
The practical consequence: if you miss a session, or don't pass, you wait a full year for the next one. There's no fallback date mid-year.
Looking ahead to 2027
FIFA hasn't published exact 2027 dates yet. Based on the 2026 cycle, expect the application window on agents.fifa.com to open around January 2027, with the exam itself likely in late April.
Missing an exam session means waiting a full year for the next one — so track the 2027 announcement early and start preparing well before applications open.
How to register for the 2027 exam
Registration happens on the FIFA Agent Platform (agents.fifa.com), during an application window that FIFA announces a few weeks ahead. In 2026 it ran from 20 January to 6 March — about seven weeks. Expect a similar window in early 2027; nothing is confirmed yet.
The ingredients are the same every year: an account on the platform, an application submitted inside the window, an eligibility check by your member association, and the exam fee paid to FIFA — the amount appears on the platform before you submit, and your federation may not charge you anything for the exam.
Once accepted, you must complete the mandatory Pre-Exam Readiness Check before exam day (the 2026 deadline was 14 April). Miss the application window and you wait for the 2028 session: there is no catch-up date.
| Step | 2026 reference | 2027 (expected) |
|---|---|---|
| Applications open | 20 January 2026 | Around January 2027 — to be confirmed |
| Applications close | 6 March 2026 | About seven weeks after opening — to be confirmed |
| Pre-Exam Readiness Check | By 14 April 2026 | Before exam day — to be confirmed |
| Exam window | 28–30 April 2026 | Late April 2027 — expected |
